    Eventful Trip- Final Part

    First Part

Mallika and me reached the hotel. We got into the lift and realised that both are staying in the same floor :-) We stepped out and bid each other good night. I watched her walk, swaying her hips as if she is on the ramp.

I entered my room and just lied down on the bed for some time. Was feeling very numb. I still could feel her delicate perfume all over my body. And seldom do I get chances in lifetime to use the bathtub :-)

God knows, for how long I was in the bath tub. Guess I might have dozed off then and there. I heard the door bell ring. At this time of the night? I called out. It was mallika. I quickly changed and opened the door. She was wearing a blue denim short and black color sleeveless top. Needless to say, she looked ravishing.
'Sorry to disturb you. I just couldnt sleep.' and looking at my wet hair she said 'Looks like you had a nice bath'.
I mumbled 'Yeah'. We sat next to each other in the sofa. She held my hand and said

'I just dont understand what I am doing. In 2 days you are going to get back to bangalore. I should be in Mumbai. I have met many guys. But with you its kinda different. You are cute'
'Thanks Mallika. If it is different for you, think of me. I have always ogled at your movies and pictures. And here I am sitting next to you, having spent the entire evening roaming around with you. I still am not sure if it is real'

    She just said 'Hmmm'

Then I said 'Well. I have been thinking about this right from the return trip.'
'oh god! Please dont say you are in love with me. Pleaseeeeee' and she giggled.
'Shut up. Let me complete. It is amazing to interact with you, go around places. But at the end of the day I am a normal software engineer. You are a celebrity. Though I like you, I really wonder if I should be in touch with you after reaching India'
She said 'Come on. Dont say you will forget me once you get back'
I said 'No. I wont forget. All I am saying is lets not talk'

She came close to me, looked at me on the eye and asked 'Why?'

'See. Once you get back, you will be busy with your schedule. Your life is completely different. I just cant maintain a relationship. I dont even know what type of relationship it is between us. Definitely it is not friendship, and neither can it turn into something romantic. I think, you liked the way I treated you as a normal person. Thats it. Good. We met. We had a great time. Lets end it nicely.'

'Prabhu. I fail to understand, why you are talking like this'

'Madam. I am very practical. Once I reach bangalore, I will always be thinking about you. May be try to meet you as and when the opportunity arises. It is very difficult to maintain relationship with a celebrity. And tomorrow if I watch some movie of yours, and hear some comments about you, it will really disturb me. And most importantly, you definitely will not have time.'
'Hmmm. What you say is also true. But do we need to define a relationship. Cant we just be like this?'
'Oh yes. We can. But for how long? Get back to your room, sleep and think peacefully when you get time. You will understand what I am trying to say'

She stood up, came closer to me, and kissed me on my cheek. Then she said

'Bye Prabhu. It was really nice meeting you'
I said 'Same here' and shook hands with her. She left and I hit the bed.

Next morning, I woke up around 10 or so. Mallika had left a note for me, along with a bunch of flowers. The note read
'Prabhu. Had a great time yesterday. Thanks for everything! May god bless you-Mallika'.

    1 week later...

Here I am, at bangalore watching the song 'Bheegi Hont tere kaisa dil mera lage ab fiza aaaah mujhe tan tera.. ' from the movie MURDER on channel V.

"If some things are better left unsaid, then maybe they too are better left undone."
