Thai Royal Treatment
Let me admit. I was bowled over by the Thai hospitality
I reached Bangkok airport by 5 AM on 2nd of March,2005. I was pleasantly surpised to find a person holding a card 'Volvo Thailand welcomes Mr Prabhu Krishnamurthy'.
He took my luggage and we reached the car park. A mercedez benz was waiting for me :-)
Though it was pitch dark, I couldnt resist asking the guy to take this picture
When I reached the hotel, 2 guys promptly came towards the car. One guy opened the door, and other guy picked my luggage. A room was already booked for me(Royal Princess Hotel). I reached the room within 5 minutes.
A posh single room all for myself ;-)
And just when I entered the room, I got a call from the GM, Volvo Thailand. It was around 5.45 AM in the morning and he called to check if I was comfortable and needed anything.
Next morning, the general manager from Volvo Thailand came to receive me. Once again, a pleasant surprise was waiting in store for me. In the office entrance, they had kept a board saying 'We welcome our special guests Peter Winstedt and Prabhu Krishnamurthy'.
I was taken around the entire office and introduced to all top guys
This just is not all. Infact these people are our clients, and the way they treated me was absolutely amazing. Hats off to them!!!
