Terminal

My flight is at 5.45 AM Thai time. I reached the airport at 12.30 AM(Thai time) itself, since I didnt want to disturb my friend at 2 AM

100 baht for 1.5 hrs browsing. So I will try to blog as much as possible :

Canon Digital Camera


I got a new Canon Digital IXUS 430 . Initially I was planning to buy Canon Powershot A85.

It costs around 19,995 Rs in India. I was getting it for around 12,500 baht. That is around 13600 Rs. The best part was, apart from the low price I was getting an additional deal of 128 MB card for free. Start reading with bated breath.

Bill was made and I made the payment and everything was done. When I was about to buy the camera, I noticed something odd. I asked why the pack seal is broken. The saleswoman said, this was the last piece and she was giving me the one from display. I was aghast. They had kept the model on display for gods knows how long. No clue, how many people came and fiddled with the buttons. I said no. Then they started cancelling the bill :-((

At that moment, I looked at this camera IXUS430 and asked them the rate of it. It costed some 600 baht more. So totally around 14200 Rs. I said ok, and made sure they packed a brand new piece. I had never checked this model before, but opened the user manual and read the features.
4.0 megapixel camera with 32 mb card (additional 128 mb for free).
I asked him to give me some discount, because of the A85 mess. That guy said no discount, but he gave me an additional 128 mb card, which I can use for the camera as well as my Nokia cellphone to store mp3 :-D

Okay. Now let me tell you something that threw me off guard.

1. In Thailand, every tourist who buys good more than 5000 baht gets the VAT(Value Added Tax) refund. So I will be getting 1046 Bahts back :-)
2. I checked the price of model Canon Digital IXUS430 in india, right now.I was thinking it to be around 22000. You know what? In India this model costs 34,495 Rs :-o

So by one stroke of luck, I have saved 20000 Rs. Aint it great????????????????
