    Are sportsmen not Indian?

I read this deccan herald article. It was really shameful. Narain Karthikeyan cannot have the tricolor logo on his helmet, when he is riding a formula 1 car. New flag code it seems!

In the same country, we have an italian ( a person who refused to become an indian citizen for some 8 to 10 years) as a head for the oldest indian political party.
And the railways minister happily disrespects the national anthem.

In what way Narain Karthikeyan, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly, Sania Mirza, Anju George, Malleswari damage the indian flags honour by sporting it on their gear?

You know, sometime 2 weeks back, I was watching this Narain Karthikeyan driving a jordan car. And it was so heartening to see him wear a tricolor helmet.

It is really disappointing. This new flag code from a very patriotic(????) union government :-(

    I see she see

    Can eyes talk this much?

It all started some 6 months back. This girl N joined my office. Those days my office cafeteria food was good, and I used to have lunch there along with my friends. One particular day I was standing in the line, waiting for this rumali roti. I heard 'Excuse Me' and turned back. There this girl N was standing, and she wanted to take an extra spoon.
She was fair, bit plump, and very cute. Expressive eyes! I had no clue to who she was. Thats it. I completely forgot about her.
One week later, I saw her in my floor. My GM was introducing her to some project manager. She got her workplace and it was some 3 to 4 cubicles away from mine. Everyday we used to cross each other. The ladies loo was to the right of my cubicle, and the gents loo to the left of hers :-)
One day it so happened that when I was going to the other side, she was coming towards my side. We (and ofcourse our eyes) crossed! It happened for 3 times that day. Call that timing!!
The 3rd time, I saw that she bit her lower lip to control her smile. Coool. She was also thinking the same as I was.
From then on, I used to have direct eye contacts with her. I never smiled, nor did take any initiative to talk to her. This is very unusual of me. If I find someone interesting somehow or other I get to talk to them. Or I create opportunities ;-)
I started hating days when there used to be no office. I didnt want to talk to her, nor do anything. Just look at her. Thats it! We had a common friend AK. It so happened that one by one, all of my lunch partners went abroad. I was left alone.
One day AK saw me having lunch alone, and she joined me. I was talking to AK and having my lunch. After sometime N joined us. AK introduced us to each other. And we just smiled.
From then on, we used to have lunch together. We sit in the 1st floor and the cafeteria is also in the 8th floor. AK used to sit in the 7th floor. So everyday during lunch, AK used to call me and call N as well. I used to get up from my place, go near the door. Looking at me, N will follow suit. Both of us will take the same lift and reach the 8th floor. Just exchange of a single smile. Nothing else. I think after the first few days, N understood that I wont talk to her and at same time wont stop looking at her.
This was an interesting situation for both of us. We both longed to look at each other and smile. Sometime in the middle I had taken a break and gone to mumbai for 10 days. AK told me that N asked her around 4 to 5 times, where I was and when I will be back.
And boy wasnt I glad, when I came back and saw her face.

I dont know whats going on! Everyday I keep thinking of her, after I reach home. I smile whenever I remember something. I take care of my appearance very well these days. And whenever I wear a new shirt, I cross her cubicle more often. And same with her. Her eyes will tell whether she liked it or nor :-)

Staying all alone, it really helps to have such a crush. For all known reasons, she might get married tomorrow. Or resign and go away. Whatsoever. It doesnt matter. I dont have any special feelings. Its just a crush. And this is one main reason why I dont plan to talk to her. What if she turns out to be a boring person with great looks. Or vice versa. The charm and thrill will go away. It will never be the same again!

P.S. This is an imaginative story. Just felt like scribbling something

    Media Hype

I feel Times Of India is causing great damage to the World Environment. By printing crap news, thereby wasting paper (How many trees are destroyed).

    Here is a sample article

Look at the title. Karthikeyan not far behind Schumaker. Now who on earth is Schumaker?
    Ok leave that!

The way they have projected the article, it is like narain is closing in on schumi. Even a person who has watched just 1 race in life will know how much 2.5 seconds difference means.

If you read the fine print it is 2.5 seconds on the best lap. So if a race has 50 laps, Karthikeyan will be 50*2.5 which is equal to 125 seconds.

That means he will finish the race 2 min 5 seconds after schumi finishes.

I am in no way ridiculing Narain or the jordan. Given the money and facility they have, they are trying to put up a brave face and are doing a exceptionally wonderful job!

But this newspaper's article will unnecessarily raise the hopes of many people in India. And this will put additional pressure on Narain.

Last but not the least. 13 people tested in the Catalunya circuit and Narain finished 12th. Thats the ground reality.

    Rain Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hosted by Photobucket.com

The best thing about bangalore is its climate. Whenever it becomes too hot, immediately there is a shower and the temperature drops down considerably.

For the past few days, the temperature has started soaring over here. How I wish it rains either today or tomorrow.

Rain god, in case you are reading this, you very well know what to do ;-)

    A thought!

I got a mail today. Imaginations running wild! Whats wrong with being single?

    ===============================================

Boys are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree.
The girls don't want to reach for the good ones because they're afraid
of falling and getting hurt. Instead they just get the rotten apples
that are on the ground, that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples at
the top think that there is something wrong with them, when in reality,
    they are amazing.
That is why we just have to be a little patient and the right girl, the
one who takes a chance to find the good, right apple, will come
someday... Send this to all the boys who you know are at the top of the
tree. So Guys if u are alone...this means that u r on top..........!!!!

    Bangalore signals :-)

    Hosted by Photobucket.com

I clicked this pic from my mobile last night. This is taken at MG Road,
one of the most important, busiest roads in bangalore city.
Now do you understand why there is so much confusion in bangalore traffic?
If you ask directions, a common man is expected to say take left, or right, or keep going straight.
How will someone explain this diagonal left? (You usually ask rickshaw guys for address, route).

    Take care people!

*DISCLAIMER. I am not a doctor, nor have attended any course on the topics I am going to discuss below. What I am writing here is purely based on my experience*

Day in and day out, all of us slog and work very hard. Irrespective of the profession and the place where we work. But how many of us really take care of ourselves?

    1. Eating at regular intervals.

I know many people who skip lunch, dinner or postpone it, because the work is going on at hectic pace. It shows lack of planning. You very well know what is the lunch time. Cant the work be planned so that you get time for 30 minutes in the afternoon.

Point to note: Does your boss skip lunch? Have you got any brownie points in your career, because you have skipped lunch or dinner and worked?

    2. Lack of proper sleep.

I interacted with many people who joined my company, straight from college. They have a feeling that, if they work till 1 AM or 2 AM almost everyday, they get recognition. And people appreciate them. This myth is there in many a people. Even I had this opinion. Nowadays I dont stay unless and until situation demands. Look at this way. Company pays you money for working from 9 to 6 or whatever time. Why should you stay late?

Point to note: A person who comes to office at 9 AM sharp and works till 6.30 PM in evening (with barest minimum of personal calls or mails) is considered as a much efficient and talented person. Bosses will agree with people who slog, that they are hard working. But people who work smart get more benefits. I learnt this the hard way

    3. Coming to office while not well.

No one will appreciate that you came to work, even though you are sick. If you do not take care of health, who else will take care of you? Then why does every company allocates some percentage of days under sick leave category?

Point to note: If you can come to office, then it is assumed that your health is good, and you can work. No mercy will be shown.

Take care people! Only you have to take care of yourself. No one else will.

And if we question such stuff, we become Hindutva, communal and fanatics eh?

    Words fastest Indian??

Here is my second post on Narain Karthikeyan. Have you people seen the ad of TATA in which Narain Karthikeyan features? He is portrayed as 'Worlds Fastest Indian'.
Is'nt 'Fastest Indian' the right term?

Brett Lee is referred to as 'Australias fastest bowler'. Not as 'Worlds Fastest Australian Bowler'.

Ok. This is for people, who might argue saying that there are many indians all over the world. And the advertisement covers them. Then using the same logic, can we call Narain as 'Worlds Fastest Coimbatorean' ?

And who am I? 'Worlds Fastest 1st Block 3rd cross Koramangalan' ???

P.S. I do know of a movie 'Worlds Fastest Indian' starring Anthony Hopkins. But I dont think that movie was an inspiration for the TATA ad.
